Annette Swain, Ph.D., ABPP received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Iowa. Dr. Swain is board certified in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in neuro-psychology. She has been practicing neuro-psychology in the Los Angeles area for over ten years. Initially trained in neuro-psychology at the Benton Neuropsychology Laboratory at the University of Iowa and later at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital, she is now an Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA Department of Psychology. Her areas of expertise include neuropsychological and psycho-diagnostic assessment of geriatric, neurological, medical, and psychiatric patients. She also evaluates adolescents and adults for attention deficit and learning disorders to ascertain whether they require accommodations on standardized testing and in an educational setting. Dr. Swain frequently presents community lectures to both laymen and professionals on topics involving aging, dementia, mental health, and neuro-psychology.
